Riot Games released Valorant in 2020. It is a free to play first-person tactical shooter game inspired by Counter-Strike. Riot Games launched the first Valorant tournament in 2020, which was called First Strike. This move was to capitalise on the surging popularity of the game and cement its place place in the eSports scene. The competition was highly successful, and within the year, Riot Games announced a tournament series called the Valorant Champions Tour, or VCT. The tournament is contested annually and features a Challengers, Masters, and Champions series. The Challengers is a regional competition in which teams can qualify for the Masters. The Masters is a series of international competitions that has many stages and is held mid-season. The Valorant Champions is the world championship tournament of the year.

Valorant Gameplay

The game is set in the near future and players can pick from a list of agents they want to play with. Each of these characters has their own special abilities and weapons. During gameplay, players can upgrade their weapons and equipment with in-game money that they can gain by garnering kills and completing objectives. In each game, there is a defending team and an attacking team, each of which has 5 players. Rounds can be won by either killing off all the players in the opposing team or by completing all of the objectives, and the first team to win 13 rounds wins the game. The objectives involve planting a spike, or bomb, for the attacking team, and the defending team must try to find and neutralise the bomb as quickly as possible.

Big tournaments, such as the Champions Tour, Challengers, Masters, and the World Championships, may have outright betting options. Here, you can find bets on every single team in the competition, and make your bet on which one you think will go all the way and win the title. The bets will be made available before the competition starts, which is usually when you can find the most favourable odds. For example, if you bet on your team to win a game with a handicap of -3.5 rounds, then you will need the team to reach 13 rounds without losing more than 9. If the game ends 13-10, 13-11, 13-12, then you have lost. If you bet on your team to win with a handicap of +3.5, then you will win your bet as long as your team can win 10 rounds.

Total Rounds

This bet is not related to which team wins the game, but to how many rounds will be played in the game. To form your bet, you will need to pick one of the betting lines on offer, and then bet on whether the game will end with over or under that number of rounds.

For example, if you pick a line of 20.5 and bet over, then you will need the game to last at least 21 rounds. The winning team will reach 13, and so the losing team must reach 8 or more. If you bet under 20.5, then the losing team should only win 7 rounds or fewer.
