The original games were based on the novel Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy, an American spy and thriller novelist. How Rainbow Six is Played

As mentioned before, this game crosses all the features you can expect to find in a Counter-Strike or Call of Duty game, with the character selection feature from Dota. The main game mode is Bomb, where there is an attacking team trying to defuse a bomb, whilst the defenders need to stop them from doing so. The game is played in rounds, with teams swapping attacking and defending roles. There is no respawning in the game, which increases the competitive edge, and rounds can last up to 3 minutes. Tactics play a hugely important role in each round, and knowledge of the map can be invaluable, especially in the hands of skilled players. Matches are played in 8 rounds, and some are determined in a best of 3 games series. If the scores are tied after 8 rounds (4-4) then a ninth round is played to determine the winner of the game.

With outright bets, you can make all your predictions on the winners of these tournaments. There will be bets offered on all of the teams participating and the bets will be at your disposal both before the competition starts and also once it is underway.

When a competition is in play, then each round is extremely important in outrights. After teams are eliminated and others progress to the next round, the odds for the outright bets will change. The favourites who advance in the competition will usually have their odds shortened, so if you plan on betting on any of them then you should try to place your bets early on in the competition.

Handicap Bets

If the odds on a team are not to your liking, you can set a handicap for the team, which will drastically lengthen their odds. It will increase the risk of the bet, but higher handicaps will also give you far longer odds. There are also positive handicaps, which do exactly the opposite. However, a positive handicap will shorten the odds on your team.

For example, if you set a handicap of -1.5 for your chosen team, then they will need to win the game by a margin of 2 rounds or more. This means that if your team wins 8-0, 7-1, 6-2, or 5-3 then you win your bet.

If you set a handicap of +1.5 on your chosen team, then you will win the bet if your team wins the game, or if they lose the match 5-4. However, if they lose by a margin of 2 or more, then you will lose your bet.

By Round

You can bet on the result of each individual round, and sometimes this bet can be even more exhilarating than betting on the result of the match. The teams alternate between rounds, so you will need to pick your team and your round carefully. Some teams play better in the defending roles whilst others may be more suited for the attacking role. If it is not the first round, then this can also play a huge factor in the result, as a team may be under greater pressure if they are losing the match.

Totals Kills

One way of winning a round is by killing off all the players in the other team. A total kills bet lets you bet on how many kills you think a team may achieve during the course of a match, or how many may be accrued by both teams combined. This bet uses the over/under format, where you can bet over or under a betting line. If the line is 50.5 and you bet over, then you are betting on at least 51 kills during the entire match. If you bet under, you will need the match to be determined with 50 kills or less.
